I provide commercial, cost effective and timely legal advice on all aspects of entering into building and engineering contracts/sub-contracts from contract tender, negotiation, contracting and delivery, to risk mitigation and contract management, to ultimately adjudication and litigation.

My non-contentious expertise includes drafting and negotiation of contractual documentation including building and engineering contracts/sub-contracts, letters of intent, pre-construction services agreements, professional appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees.

I have particular knowledge of EPC contracting and civil and engineering sub-contracting arrangements in the energy sector, with a particular expertise in energy from waste plants.

I help clients to prepare agreements that best reflect their interests and the appropriate placing of risk.

Contractual documentation can be based upon standard form contracts or on bespoke construction agreements, tailored to meet a project’s requirements.

They vary from project specific EPC and EPCM contracts to multi-party and collaborative working arrangements, and encompass NEC4 and traditional JCT contracts.

I work alongside and in close collaboration with your existing team, managing risk and working within budget and to programme.

I have acted on building and engineering contracts/sub-contracts for clients at all levels of the supply chain on a broad variety of projects including energy (with particular expertise on renewable energy, energy from waste), education and transport and infrastructure.
